Bobbi Jean Tenwolde, MD

Hi, I am a board certified  family practice physician currently practicing full scope family medicine (prenatal to hospice care). Here is a little about my journey. I am a homegrown Blufftonian and M.C. Riley Alumni. After med school at MUSC I had to go out West to get the OB training I needed in a family medicine residency. A lot of my panel has been made up of pregnant women and resultantly children, as well as those struggling with addiction ,mental health conditions and chronic pain. Though whole person care for the underserved is my passion these focuses were in response to the community’s needs. When local hospital groups stopped seeing Medicaid patients there was no access to prenatal care or addiction treatment. So my co-resident and I finished training and started a prenatal care program as well as an addiction program to serve 3 county area in 2016  through Indian Health Services. Though I have moved back home these programs both are thriving. I also enjoy doing procedures and have an urgent care background. My more recent interest and focus is on longevity and lifestyle medicine but my passion is PEOPLE and I am excited to be home to help the village that raised me here in Low Country.
